How to play
Place five ships on the lower grid, then fire on the upper ocean. Hold a square to see its name, then let go to shoot. Red pegs are hits; white pegs are misses. Sink every enemy ship to win.
- Tap a ship to select it; tap again to rotate. Drag to move. Shuffle deals a new layout.
- Ships may touch but cannot overlap or leave the 10×10 grid.
- Solo: choose a computer rank from Cadet to Admiral, then New Game.
- On an iPhone Duo, close to pause and open to Resume with the same ships and shots.
Game Center tips
- Sign in to Game Center in the Settings app. Solo play does not need Game Center.
- Open Matches to invite a friend or take an open seat. Each player places a fleet. The player who opens the match shoots first.
- One shot per turn. You can leave the app between turns. A turn stays open for a week; if it runs out, Game Center can end that seat.
- The Game Center button on the menu opens your dashboard. When signed in, wins, streaks, shutouts, fewest shots, achievements, and friend challenges can be reported.
FAQ
Game Center won’t let me start a match
Confirm you are signed in to Game Center under Settings → Game Center. Online matches need a signed-in Game Center account. Solo play works without it.
How do turns work online?
You place your fleet, then trade single shots. After you fire, the turn passes to the other player. Game Center stores the match so either phone can continue.
How do I resign or forfeit?
Canceling a Game Center match that is still in progress resigns it. Use this only when you want to give up the match.
Does the app need an account or track me?
No in-app account, no ads, no purchases. See the privacy policy.
