Privacy Policy
Embervale is made by Hays Software Development LLC. The game runs on your iPhone or iPad.
The app does not create an account, show ads, or use the advertising identifier. It does not include an analytics or advertising SDK.
What stays on your device
Two Player and solo games stay on the device. The automaton chooses its move on the device. If Apple’s on-device language model is available, the app prewarms that model locally. The game does not send the board to that model, and it does not send the board to a Hays Software server.
Win counts, your win streak, and the last Game Center match id are stored on the device.
Game Center
If you play through Game Center, Apple’s Game Center is the account. The app reads your Game Center name and player id, and it can show the other player’s Game Center name and profile photo. The shared match sent to Game Center is the board position, so the other phone can continue the game. Game Center may also receive scores and achievements when you are signed in, including wins, a win streak, and fewest-turns results against Keeper or Warden.
Sharing and tracking
Hays Software does not sell this information and does not track you across other companies’ apps.
Children
Embervale is not directed at children under 13, and Hays Software does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no account sign-up, chat, ads, or purchases, and Hays Software does not run a server that receives data from it. Game Center features are provided by Apple and follow the Apple Account, Family Sharing, and Screen Time settings on the device. A parent or guardian with questions can email us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
