Privacy Policy
Dovetail Dash is made by Hays Software Development LLC. The game runs on your iPhone or iPad.
The app does not create an account, show ads, or use the advertising identifier. It does not include an analytics or advertising SDK, and it does not connect to a Hays Software server.
What stays on your device
Solo races, Two Players games on one device, and the Daily Race are played on the device. The carpenter you race chooses its moves on the device.
The app stores a few things on the device: your Daily Race progress (today’s puzzle, your clock and tray so you can continue, your solved time, and your streak), the carpenter you last picked, whether you have seen the intro, and your Sound and Haptics settings. Deleting the app removes them.
Sounds are tile and shaker effects built into the app. The app does not use the microphone, camera, location, contacts, or photos.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, Apple’s Game Center is the account. When you finish the Daily Race, your time is posted to the daily leaderboard, and the app reads back your place on today’s leaderboard and how many players posted. Game Center also receives achievements: your first Daily Race, a 7-day streak, and beating each carpenter. The app can open Apple’s Game Center screens for the leaderboard, achievements, and challenges with friends. Every mode works without signing in.
Sharing and tracking
Hays Software does not sell this information and does not track you across other companies’ apps.
Children
Dovetail Dash is not directed at children under 13, and Hays Software does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no account sign-up, chat, ads, or purchases, and Hays Software does not run a server that receives data from it. Game Center features are provided by Apple and follow the Apple Account, Family Sharing, and Screen Time settings on the device. A parent or guardian with questions can email us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
